Network for Africa is very pleased to announce that, although the 40th annual London Marathon race has had to be postponed to Sunday, 4 October 2020, Alex Hale is still aiming to run, and raise funds for Network for Africa. Alex is hoping to raise over £3500 for our mental health projects.
Alex is a Sales & Marketing Consultant for PwC UK. Alex admitted the furthest he had run in one go was 10km, and having just become a father for the first time, he told us that he was going to find the training very hard. However, a few months in and the training appears to be going well – in his latest update, Alex has reported that he can now run 10-12 miles in one go!
Thank you to everyone who has donated so far. If you can, please sponsor Alex and help him to reach his target.
Back in 2018
On Sunday, 22 April 2018 Chrystal Ding ran the London Marathon for Network for Africa and raised over £3,000. Looking back, Chrystal told us ‘I had always thought of myself as one of those people who just doesn’t get on with sport and certainly not with long distance. A week or two into training, once I had cleared the 5k mark, I realised this was nonsense. The biggest surprise to me was quite how much I would enjoy the training and the sheer joy of knowing that there was something I would do 4 times a week that would sharpen my mind and my focus and bring me peace in a way I’d never experienced before’.
5k Runs | 10k Runs | Half Marathons | Marathons | Ultra Marathons | Trail Runs | Fun Runs | Mud Runs
