Volunteer in our UK office

We welcome volunteers in our London office.  We ask for a minimum commitment of 3 months, working 2 days a week.  We have limited space and resources so volunteers will need their own computer and will most likely be home-based.    Please send your CV (no more than 2 sides of A4) with a covering letter outlining your availability and areas of interest and expertise.  We are always looking for the following skills:

• Accountancy/bookkeeping

• Strong administrative skills

• Good IT skills including Word, Excel, Powerpoint, WordPress

• Research and writing skills

• Fundraising experience, including fundraising events

• Database CRM experience

Volunteer in our US office

We are not currently accepting volunteers for our US office.

Volunteer in Rwanda or Uganda

We occasionally have available positions for skilled international volunteers to work in our projects in Rwanda and Uganda.  We have a competitive application process for the limited number of places we have annually.  We typically need volunteers with a range of professional skills and experience who are able to commit to a minimum of 3 months.  Applicants must be over the age of 21 years, have good communication skills, be willing to work independently and under general supervision, and be sensitive to their cultural environment.  All volunteers must be completely self-financing – Network for Africa cannot pay for flights, visas, permits, travel, food or accommodation.  We are currently looking for volunteers who can assist us in developing the capacity of our partner organisations.  We welcome the following skills:

• Accountancy/bookkeeping

• Strong administrative skills

• IT skills including Word, Excel etc.

• Monitoring and evaluation

• Planning and strategy

• Data collection and analysis to support baseline surveys

• Photography & film making

• Journalism/writing
